The Ring Making Process

The first step in making a handcrafted ring is you emailing Tony with a design idea that you would like manufactured. Things he will need to know are what metal will be used, how many and what type gemstones will be incorporated in the design and some idea of the ring design itself. Unique custom jewelry is usually designed on paper and then carved from wax. Tony can send you a sketch of the ring design for your approval before any work begins.

The jewelry maker carves each wax model individually, making the finished piece as unique as the person receiving it. After the wax model is carved it is destroyed by extreme heat in the casting process. This jewelry manufacturing process is called "lost wax casting". The Cost of Custom Made Rings

The cost of custom bridal jewelry depends on the complexity of the design, what precious metal is used and whether gemstones are included in your design. For a simple custom ring the labor charge to carve, cast and finish begins at $250.

The price of the metal will depend on the type and its weight, as well as current market conditions.  Your custom made ring can be cast in either 10 or 14 karat yellow or white gold, sterling silver or platinum.  Diamonds and other gemstones can be provided to use in your custom jewelry at an excellent price. You can select the grade and size gemstones that are the best fit for your budget and design. Your own diamonds or other gemstones can also be used to make your new engagement ring, wedding band or anniversary ring.
