Handmade jewelry designs are usually sketched on paper and then the ring or pendant design is carved from wax. This wax model is destroyed by the extreme heat in the casting process. The jewelry maker carves the wax model by hand . Each custom jewelry piece is as unique as the person receiving it.

Your unique creation could be almost any type of jewelry and can be manufactured in sterling silver, yellow or white gold, or platinum. If you have a picture or sketch of a ring or pendant design you would like done, this would help Tony in making your unique piece of jewelry. He can also make a sketch of your jewelry design which is sent for your approval. During the custom jewelry making process you will receive pictures through email of the wax model of your custom gemstone jewelry. Tony can provide diamonds and other gemstones to use in your custom ring or pendant at a reasonable price. He also does lapidary work, or stone cutting, using such gemstones as turquoise, Australian marra mamba tiger-eye, fossilized dinosaur bone, African pietersite, fire agate, Australian opal and black onyx. He also can cut and use Siberian mastodon ivory either as inlay or in scrimshaw jewelry pieces. Tony can also expertly set the gemstones in your finished ring or pendant.

The Cost of Custom Gemstone Jewelry

The price for your handcrafted gemstone jewelry depends on the complexity of the design, what metal is used and which gemstones are included in your finished piece. For a simple custom ring the labor charge to carve, cast and finish begins at $250. The labor charge for a simple pendant starts at $150. The labor charge for a custom championship or class ring with lettering or a design on the top and both sides begins at $1,200. The price of the precious metal will depend on the type of metal and its weight, as well as current market conditions. Tony can use either sterling silver or gold to make your handcrafted ring or pendant.
